Utilities Collection provides free calculators and planning checklists for practical topics such as Japan resident life, working holiday preparation, tax, salary, housing, banking, remittance, and departure workflows.
Our first-party analytics records an allowlisted event name, tool id, page path without query parameters, timestamp, country from Cloudflare network metadata, and limited non-sensitive interaction fields. Calculator inputs and referrers are not stored.
Session-scoped identifier
The analytics client creates a random pseudonymous id in session storage so actions in one browser tab can be counted without login. It expires when that tab session ends and is not reused as a persistent profile.
Browser and network data
Cloudflare, Google, and Microsoft may independently process technical data such as IP-derived region, device signals, and request metadata under their own policies. Our first-party event database does not store IP addresses or user-agent strings.
First-party analytics retention
Raw allowlisted events are retained for up to 90 days, session-deduplication records for up to 30 days, and aggregate daily tool statistics for up to 400 days. An automated retention job removes older records. Public statistics expose aggregate counts only, not raw events, session identifiers, referrers, or interaction payloads.
How we use information
Measure page views, calculator use, result views, link clicks, official source clicks, and UX signals.
Display, measure, limit, and improve advertisements through Google AdSense and related advertising systems.
Detect broken pages, missing assets, unusual traffic patterns, and service reliability issues.
Advertising and third-party services
Utilities Collection can use Google AdSense only after a Google-certified consent management platform reports that it is ready and has recorded the applicable advertising choice. The site’s analytics choice does not act as advertising or TCF consent. When allowed, Google and its partners may use cookies, local storage, device identifiers, ad measurement signals, and other technologies to serve contextual or personalized ads.
With your analytics permission, Google Analytics 4 measures page and interaction events. Microsoft Clarity can provide masked session recordings, clicks, scrolling, and navigation signals. Clarity masks form inputs and other sensitive fields before collection, but its interaction data is still handled under Microsoft’s policies and your recorded analytics choice.
Your analytics choice is saved in local storage so it remains available and reversible on later visits. Until a choice is recorded, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and advertising network scripts are not requested. Our first-party analytics queue and random session id use session storage, not persistent local storage.
Allowing analytics does not authorize advertising. Advertising remains disabled unless a separate Google-certified TCF consent provider reports a recorded advertising choice. You can reopen this site’s analytics controls at any time; you can also manage browser storage, tracking protection, Google settings, and any regional consent provider independently.
